When Mr. Matty and I got married we struggled with what kind of ceremony we wanted. We decided that every 5 years we would celebrate our anniversary by renewing our vows with another wedding theme we had pondered over. This weekend we celebrate by going to Vegas! This will be my first time there and I couldn't be more excited. We are hoping to get married here and then will head over to a photo shoot here. We are thrilled to see this and can't wait to cap off the weekend by meeting one of these! If you have any other suggestions of what to do, or where to go...I would love to hear it!

Thanks to Joy and Nate I am now obsessed with Lambrusco. We had a bottle (or two) at our recent dinner and I can't stop thinking about it! I am already planning our weekend around having more. I never thought I would be a fan of sparkling red wine, but this is fresh, crisp, tart, and just what summer ordered!

With so many of the "ID glosses" out there I was curious if they really worked. These are the clear glosses that claim to have magical powers that when put on your lips, turn the shade suited perfectly for your face. Needless to say I have been skeptical, but when I read in this month's Cookie that the Jemma Kidd for Target version was Karen Duffy's favorite lip gloss...I had to try it! Well I am in love with this gloss! It's the perfect weight...and my lips turn the perfect shade of pink! I have to admit $20 is a little steep for a gloss, but I will be wearing this one all day everyday!
This weekend was amazing! It's what I love about summer...just waking up and deciding what the day will hold! If you live in Nashville and haven't eaten at the Wendell's diner...it's a must see! The whole place down to the servers catapult you back to a time when everyone knew everybody's name and what they were gonna eat before they even ordered! If you are in the mood for a yummy greasy spoon...this is your place!
Next, we hit up the 12th south district! I am so in love with the new Halcyon bike shop. Tucked away on Halcyon Street this little shop takes old bikes and pieces them together to make new bikes! Each bike is a work of art and no two are the same. The best part....the test drive. I fell in love with my old Huffy all over again!
After biking, on what seemed to be the most humid day this year, in search of a.c. we popped into a new shop that took over our most beloved building on 12th! It may just be Mr. Matty's new heaven. It's a brand new custom denim shop called imogene + willie! I can't say enough about how amazing this place is...it's a must see shop! We were even fortunate to run into our friends Ben and Gen and their adorable Oden! Of course Matty walked out with a new snap shirt and pair of boots! Ladies, check out the vintage "doctor" bags....swoon!
We capped off the weekend with a little trip down the road to KY for a day at Beech Bend Park. We weren't sure what to expect, but this was a wonderful getaway! The staff there is soo nice, helpful and happy to be there! We had such a great time riding rides, and the bonus...about a year ago, the amusement park bought the "sea dragon" from Neverland Ranch. Yep, THE Neverland Ranch, and we got to ride it! Score! I hope everyone had a great weekend as well!

Ever since I saw the brilliant Amy Sedaris in this frock on the Late Show, I have been on the hunt. Boy how I wish I could wear this to a BBQ this weekend...I love theme dressing! Have a wonderful, safe and happy 4th of July everybody! I feel so blessed to be a citizen of this wonderful country!
