I think this might just be my new favorite tote from Baggu. See all the other fun colors here.
I just found out our MJ Thriller pumpkin was featured yesterday on USA TODAY Pop Candy! Thanks Pop Candy! Check out many more here.

Another great score from Old Time Pottery at a buck a plate! No more juggling at parties!

I fell in love with the top ring from Kate Spade but couldn't save enough pennies. I was thrilled to find a knock off at For Love for $5.00!
Brilliant way of organizing your tights by what I wore.
Another brilliant idea from the bride and groom in Dallas! Polaroid place cards!
This year Mr. Matty and I decided to pay tribute to the King of Pop with our "Thriller " pumpkin! Lots of tedious carving...but a big payoff!
Recently, at a wedding out of town, we received a Niven Morgan candle in our guest gift tote. I am in love with the scent "gold", and am comforted by it's similarity to my childhood perfume Amarige. I am now thinking this is the perfect cozy candle for fall. Check out the other Niven Morgan scents here.
This past weekend Mr. Matty took me to see Whip It and I must say it met all of my expectations! Drew Barrymore captured everything I love about roller derby and threw in some great costumes, a fantastic cast, and fun music. Nashville native, Landon Pigg, was even the featured love interest! I was also thrilled when a girl in the movie was using my derby name, Princess Slaya! Go see this movie! You will love it!
I am in love with this "Big Mac" pumpkin via neatorama!
Last night, I scored a handful of these disposable cupcake towers for 99 cents at Old Time Pottery! With a little spray paint they will be party ready in no time!
Christina Hendricks, who plays the gorgeous Joan on Mad Men, was married over the weekend and I would have loved to be a bridesmaid. Look at these chic ladies in their fascinators and vintage inspired ensembles. I also spy those sequined Kate Spade heels I have been lusting for!

This past weekend while in Dallas we stayed at the new ALOFT hotel, kid sister of the W hotel. We booked sight unseen so I was thrilled to see that COOKIE magazine had rated it one of the top 5 hotels in this month's issue. What has been termed the "ipod" of hotels, the ALOFT and it's modern charm did not disappoint. You check-in via kiosk, are treated to DWELL on your nightstand, BLISS in your shower, and all on a Hampton Inn budget! If there is one near you on your next vacay check out the 50% off special they are currently running now for an even sweeter deal!
Mr. Matty and I are off on a road trip to Dallas for a wedding! I am also hoping to squeeze in some time with Big Tex! Have a great weekend everyone! I will be back on Tuesday!

What I thought was a slight mis-step by Claire's has turned into an entire invasion of another 80's trend...the keyboard. Seriously do we need this? I am getting smacked in the face, from small boutique to large retailer, and pray that it finds it's way to a dark and lonely sale rounder quickly. If not I may need to dig my digital keyboard watch from 6th grade out of my hope chest.
Congratulations to one of my very faithful readers, Megan, on her nuptials this weekend! We were so blessed to be apart of such an amazing union, not to mention one of the hippest weddings I have ever been to! {photo: Jack, Mr. Matty, Me, Megan}
Last week Mr. Matty, who will now be called "lucky Matty", won a FREE bike from Regions bank!! This weekend I took it for a test drive! It's the cruiser I have always wanted! Thanks Regions!
