One of the books I got over the holidays was Fashion File by Mad Men costumer Janie Bryant. This is the best book for wardrobe styling I have read in a long time. It's like a textbook on how to dress well with a splash of costume history from every decade. I think every woman should read this to better understand her style, how to dress, and how to organize a closet. Janie even gives tips on how to not have those pre-party "i have nothing to wear" meltdowns! Not to mention, throughout the book there are gorgeous illustrations by Robert Best that were hard for me to not rip out and frame.
