dear melodie

Dear Melodie,
Are skinny jeans here to stay? Hoping not.
-Jessica

Dear Jessica,
Not only are they here to stay, I can't help but wonder if boot cut jeans are on their way out. LASM otherwise known as the L.A. Stylist Mom recently blogged that she felt that boot cut jeans could be the new "mom jean". Read her full article here. I don't have the best body for the skinny jean, but always feel best when I pair them with flats or tuck them in boots. Another jean that is gaining in popularity is the wide leg! Give those a try if you aren't a fan of the skinny!

Readers what do you think?

I used to despise the skinny jean, but London has really warped my opinion about what is fashionable. I still don't have the right body shape for them, but I don't think they look hideous on others - except when they are ill fitting. Recently the legging trend has really grown on me. What I absolutely must put my foot down about are these "jeggings" that are sneaking into every high street shop. Madness. Pure madness. But I still love your your. And you, of course. Happy Twenty-Ten if I haven't said it already.

I never thought I had the body for skinny jeans since I'm short and my thighs aren't the size of a models, but I'm surprised at how much I like them now. Mostly with boots in the winter. I'm sure I'll look back and wonder what I was thinking in ten years.

If you buy jeggings, the terrorists win.

P.S.... Jeans don't need to be "skinny", but they should be straight.

Jen- I totally agree that "jeggings" are popping up everywhere. What in the world? I wish I could come to London and have tea!

Melanie- You are hysterical! Our luck in 10 years they will have died and then be back in fashion...kind of like splotchy bleached jeans.

Anna- I totally agree with the straight jeans!

Kayce- Link is fixed! Thanks for pointing that out!
