nashville: a vintage wedding
Over the weekend we had the pleasure of attending our friend's daughter's wedding. With both mother and daughter oozing style, I knew we were in for a real treat. The wedding was vintage inspired down to every last detail. At the reception, a sit down dinner was served by passing food down long tables that were dressed with crisp white cloths. Throughout the engagement period the bride and her mother scoured thrift stores, flea markets, and Goodwill collecting vintage plates so each place setting would look different. Water was served out of tall vintage green glass bottles and Pellegrino aranciata was served with red and white paper straws. Chandeliers were hung from tree branches and light garlands were draped from corner to corner creating the perfect light for vintage furniture decorating the lawn. Children were given jars for catching fireflies which only added to the down home elegance this perfect outdoor summer wedding provided.
