gen's vintage vacation

I met Gen a few years ago at her store FAVORITE and have been a huge fan ever since. This gal has one of the best eyes for design I have ever seen. I am constantly inspired by her vintage-modern aesthetic and her talent for bargain hunting. I find myself thinking "now why didn't I think of that" most times I am around Gen and when shopping for interiors my mantra is "wwgd", what would gen do? Take it away Gen!

One of the things that I love about living in Nashville is that it is so easy to hop in the car and explore! There is just nothing better than a family road trip when the warm weather hits!

Last year we drove to Florence, Alabama.... a darling little town that is like going back in time!!!

We found the most amazing soda shop that is on the main street of Florence- called "Trowbridges". I must recommend the amazing grilled cheese and "old time" milk shakes at prices that halted in the 1950's!

We stumbled on a vintage car show and old carousel at the local park.

Plus don't miss Hellen Keller's house, the old train station, and great road side thrifting along the way!!!
