decorate doris: spray paint

I love spray paint! I have found that it works great painting chandeliers for a quick update, lamps for a room re-do, and iron beds for an inexpensive paint job. When I received an American Girl Doll catalog (not sure what list I'm on to get that one), I was oddly inspired by Lanie's camper and her adorable blue fridge. Then it dawned on me..."why aren't we painting the mini-fridge in Doris cherry red?". Let me go on record to say that spray painting plastic is harder than I thought. An inside tip...make sure you go the same direction for each coat and match up your spray lines when possible. Mr. Matty attacked the fridge and I decided to add a quick coat of pink to the outdated reading lamp in the back. Here is how they both turned out.
