New to Nashville downtown, is the 1920's sweet shoppe Diana's. What makes this place unique, is that it was transported in panels from Port Huron, Michigan. Diana's operated in the lakeside town from 1926-2001. Gibson acquired the shop, brought it to Nashville and reopened it with the help of consultants Ben and Max Goldberg of Strategic Hospitality (Patterson House). Mr. Matty and I had a chance to pop in yesterday and check out the fudge (made in the store in giant copper kettles) and colorful, old-fashioned candy by the pound. There's also a soda fountain serving up sundaes and floats made with Pied Piper Creamery ice cream, and East Nashville's Olive & Sinclair chocolate bars can be spotted from the moment you walk in! Want something more than sweet? No problem, Diana's also has a cute little dining area in the back where you can order anything from soup to sandwiches.

ahh! i just got back from a spring break roadtrip and we stopped here as we were passing through nashville! the man working behind the counter was wearing suspenders and everything. so cute.
